I am using both exhaust springs up front, but don't see where to use the mount in the rear. The pipe has a mount for a spring. Does anyone use the rear spring mount and if so where does the other end of the spring attach to?!
Thanks!

I have the FMF expansion chamber & a Paul Turner fatboy silencer. The silencer does not have a hook for a spring, and I completely forgot about the expansion chamber having a hook on it, (because I cut it off about 15 years ago) until I read this thread. I never used the rear hook, and in my opinion is unnecessary. I've never had any issues in that area.

i think the spring is used only with the OEM exhaust system. FMF exhaust system don't have this hook system.

I didn't think it was needed. What type of exhaust clamp do you guys use where the silencer and pipe meet?
Red Rider -- how do you like the Fatty and Fatboy combination compared to the Fatty and Powercore (full FMF)? Performance wise and fitment.

I like it. It has good all around power. I never used the FMF powercore silencer. Prior to the fatboy, I had a DG Type II silencer, and I was happy with that, but it wore out after 12+ years of use. I'm using an o-ring exhaust coupler that works awesome. No leaks at all. I can't remember the name of the company that I got it from, but they're in Oregon.
