Well, I got it running but the head bolts were loose. And a couple of them didn't seem to want to tighten down. It sat for a year or so, and I need to know what I need to do to "freshen" it up. Or what pronlems I might come across in my journy. I'm interested in trading it for a 350x whens its good to go. If anyone thinks that wil happen...

The torque on those heads is not much...around 10ft lbs I think....It may not hurt to pull the head and check everything there. How did it run?

It revved great, but wouldn't reach top end when riding it. I was told probably needs reeds. I'm kinda clueless when it comes to 2 strokers

You can get a set of Boyseen reeds fairly cheap through Dennis kirk....I'm sure they sell carb rebuild kits also...might be a good idea. I put a kit in with every new bike I get..What pipe does it have? What fuel mix and oil are you running?

Well, i dont have that great of an oil, but right now its 32:1. I also tore the ol girl down to find a bad head gasket and base gasket. its .20 over with a stock pipe. Im wondering if i need to get a new piston or juts ring it. im not looking to spend too much money, but i do want to make it appealing to the next owner when i decide to sell it. Im not much of a speed person. here's some pictures, think i need new piston? im also unsure what kind of reeds these are, they are all metal. ??

Get the cylinder honed and measured...make sure it isn't out of round..if it is you'll need to get it bored over more.
