Hey all you yamaha heads. i just put my airbox on with a new air filter. theres a vent at the back of the airbox on the bottom. there was no hose on it when i first got it. does it need to be connected to anything or?

I am guessing you mean the airbox drain? If so you just need to put a drain connection on it.

Also this is like the 5th time you posted it as a 1993, are you doing that on purpose?

just typos i type to quickly with little to no punctuation. yea its the vent marked # 13 14 does it need to lead somewhere inparticular or just put a hose on it and lead it to an appropriate place?

A drain spigot goes there. So if you get moisture in your airbox you can just reach down there and pinch it to drain it off. If you dont have one just plug it up. No biggie

Here's one off of one of mine. It's held on by a circular spring clip.

i pullled that off my 200k air box last year and found some nasty junk in it..probaly the only time it has been off in its 20 plus years
