I just put a down payment on a 175 tri moto, its in pretty good shape. It has brand new rear tires with the nipples still on them, has front rack and a recent top end job. The guy couldnt get it running so i cleaned out the carb at his house and got it running great! I pick it up friday morning, oh the best part.......i got it for $150!!!! So now i will be using all the good looking plastics and seat etc off my 125 and making the 175 look good. So soon the 125 is going to be up for sale. BTW i got the 125 running great so theres no worries on that.

Yeah I loved my old tri moto 175. It was a super fun machine, and would always beat my buddies auto x, 225 dx, and a couple 200x's in every drag race. I scored a bassani pipe for it, dropped in a set of boyesen power reeds, and did some minor carb adjustments, and got it screaming. I also had a high compression head for it which I took off before I sold it, and put the stock head and new gasket on it. I wish I would have pulled the bassani too, but I let it go with it. It was a beautiful wheeler, near mint (honestly) and I let it go for $300... I needed money at the time. The guy who bought it (older man) takes good care of it, and never even rods on it. He just rides it slow by the river.
Anyways, compared to the 125, it is a lot snappier, and the front suspension is MUCH better than having none at all. I could only imagine how nice it would be to have rear suspension and better longer travel forks, and manual clutch transmission, like a handful of guys on here have. They look sweet. Good luck, and keep us posted. ---------YR69

well i decided i am going to put the 175 top end on my 125 bottom end as the 175 bottom end has some odd noise to it and leaks oil like crazy. Im also switching out the front forks onto the 125 as well as the front rack and the brand new set of rear tires. The gaskets and circlips are on there way and should be here tommarow so im going to do the swap on friday. I would like to rebuild the top end since its all apart but both engines have great compression so unless somthing looks bad on the piston or cylinder im going to just run it as-is and rebuild it in the spring.....(im using it for ice fishing otherwise i would build it over the winter). Im really suprised actually how much faster the 175 is over the 125, it sure is alot more fun to ride around lol. Expecially with the front suspension. Well i will post pics of the transformation if anyone is interested in viewing the pics....i know its not a sweet tecate or tri-z full resto. but its a trike haha......

Old-yellow, im sorry about not getting you the pics of the front rack. The 175 is at my cousins and i dont get there often, and if i brought it home my parents would kill me for bringing home another "junker" as my dad puts it. I WILL have them for you on friday though when im over there all day working on building the 125 up.

If anyone needs any parts let me know, im going to part out the "125"
