I would go with the boyesen power reeds (they are epoxy type). The carbon reeds are supposedly a little better performance wise, but they wear out MUCH faster, and the carbon starts chipping off and getting sucked into the combustion chamber. I ran a set of them on my dirtbike, and my bro's bike, and neither lasted more than a year until this started happening. Since then I put on a set of power reeds on my tecate, dirtbike, and brothers bike, and have not had any problems. I didnt really notice a difference between the two either. Good Luck!

Boyesen power reeds to me are your best option. They are durable and work really well.

I go with a ~ Boyesen Rad Valve Reed System or ESR Valve Kit or V-Force Kit .

I did notice the Rad Valve smoothes out the Power Band Hit ....

Will these reeds fit on my 82'?? I think the parts are the same on 81-84.

Are the metal reeds stock?
