There's nothing like picking up a trike for free. I went trail riding with my brother in law in Fluker Louisiana this past week. While I was there I met this guy who said he had an old trike he was willing to give away because his brother was moving his house and the trike would stay on the property. I was in the right place at the right time and picked up this 1984 200s. It'll obviously need a lot of tlc and a rear end.....which I just so happen to have on the workbench. :naughty:

Sure can't beat free.:Bounce I haven't picked up any free ones for a while. Does the motor turn over? Does it seem like an easy one to get running, with minimal work? Keep us updated.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys. I've been too busy working and not taking pictures. The engine had set up for quite awhile so the piston was seized in the cylinder. After quite a bit of wd-40 and a little bit of fight i got the engine turning over. Haven't gotten to rebuilding the engine yet, but I did hone out the cylinder and ordered a new set of rings. I might as well do a valve job on it while it's apart. It looked like hell but it's starting to come around. Attached are a few pictures of the progress and the yet-to-be-assembled engine.

These are the pictures of the engine before I clean it up and start work on it. Couldn't fit all the pics in one post.

Yes we went to tower trax after riding on my brother in law's property. There's some nice mud pits by the oil well in that area. I plan on making another trip back once this trike is rebuilt

That came with one heck of a rear rack.

Nice work, so far.

Finally got it back together and fired her up thursday. It's a far cry from what I started out with, but there's still some things I need to take care of like reupholdstering the seat and modifying that monster back rack. That rack is a keeper. :naughty:

good work, i need to redo my 200s. I want to rebuild my 200s motor cuz it smokes and uses oil but I dont want to take it apart cuz I know its going to need more than rings and gaskets to do a topend rebuild. I havent decided if I want to put that much money into it.

^^get a big red i had a 200s that smoked like hell i couldnt justify spending a good 300 on the top end for a machine with no suspension no reverse and no electric start

Exactly I would rather put it into the 200x cuz thats the same way, smokes and burns some oil.

Looks a lot better than it did.
