Hey everyone--

I may have run across a supposedly super clean 83 R. Were all 83's the narrow tired, long suspension models or were some of the early 83s the "old style" 250Rs?? I havent seen it yet but Im waiting on a phone call. To those who own air cooled Rs, Are they a pretty fun ride? Ive already got an 85 but if the price is right I may pick it up.

Thanks!

T

83's are the narrow tired and long suspension like the 85-86 R's. I have owned a 81 and a 84 and they are a blast, they are fast. but there not a 85-86 R but they are still fun fast bikes.

i have an 83 and it's a blast to ride. i like the lowend and midrange punch it has. it doesn't have the topend power of the 85 and 86 but it's fun to ride.

My oldest is wanting to trade his 200x for our 83 250r. The only downfall with the aircooled is that its aircooled.

I live in the desert. It got up to 115* this summer so far. The air cooled was fine, maybe I didnt notice something or it was fine. It wasnt hot. I do run Synthetic oils
