83-87 is all the years the 200x was made, so if it says that, it should work for both.

yea i know the 83-4-5 will fit in the big red, but wasn't the 86-87 completly redisighned?

use this weisco 10.25:1 .50 over $40 shipped with rings .... ring groves need to be cleaned out due to me hitting it with a hammer (don't have hammers around when installing pistons and check rod ends for clearance)
Some pistons are listed as 83-87 I don't know how or why as the 86-87 is a different motor completely .....

Deck piston heigth is a tad different from the 2 different motor designs so no you shouldnt interchange pistons from the 83-85 and the 86-87 models .
