Here some things i would do, take apart the carb, remember where everything goes by the way, and soak everything in carb cleaner or parts cleaner. Also make sure that your pilot jet is flowing freely, you can do this by putting it up to the light to see if you can see a small bit of light going through, using a wire from a wire brush going through all the holes works good. Spray the carb clean through every hole in the carb, air holes, jets holes, and so on, it wont hurt it to soak it good. also make sure that your float is working good and not getting stuck open or closed.
Also i have seen some people say to take the carb remove everything rubber, ect.. and put it in boiling water, this will remove any clumps and bad gas. If you do this make sure its dry before assembling, putting some carb cleaner through everything will help to ensure there is no water in it.
And by the way you may want to remove the gaskets before soaking your carb in carb cleaning as it will warp them, but maybe not.
Also try cleaning the air filter, and as he said put a fuel filter on it and check the lines they might be clogged. I like to use clear lines to see flow...
This may sound stupid to but maybe as you engine starts to warm up, under the compression you spark plug is not working. Sometimes old spark plugs tend to fail under compression. But they will work fine when you check them, so just check the plug plus its only like a 3$ fix so start cheap when fixing these things.
