A Few people asking for pics of some of my trikes so here is another one . It started life as a stock 1982 ATC 110 about 4 years ago . Now it has a +3 nicholson race frame , PCCC front suspension kit . Alum wheels , +5 wheel extenders . Motor has a PK racing 123cc big bore piston kit , TYKO racing cam . Ported and polished head . BAPP intake manifold with 24mm mikuni carb . Supertrapp exhaust . HD clutch and springs . I ride this one all the time and cant seem to hurt it .

MAX SPEED?!?!?! Probably about 55mph or so but never checked it . Good way to blow a top end by revving the motor to the hilt to check the top speed .

Ive been into these things forever and probably have enough parts to build about 4 more . I have 4 more racing frames in my loft waiting for me to build them . 2 banditos and 2 nicholsons and I think 3 more front suspension kits .

That's dang fast for a 110. Motor probably needs to rev out of it's case to achieve that speed.

I was guessing you've been at this for some time...Wishing you the best on the next build budget, may it come sooner than later. Looking forward to the next one.

I installed the BAPP Big Al's stinger exhaust on my 82 atc110 to see how it would work and I really like it . It got rid of a flat spot in the power band that was really annoying . This is my rider when I feel like abusing one of my trikes , cant seem to hurt this little one LOL .

You know, there are times at work when I'm stuck on an all nighter, that I often go back and look through old interesting posts. I've had this post in the back of my mind for some time now. I just wanted to make sure that I came back through here and brought this up in case you didn't know it. And I just kind of figured this out around the beginning of this year. Shortline, do you realize this Nicholson frame is meant to take an atc70 fuel tank? That's why there is no standard flat spot for the rubber pad to fit to and why you have it wire tied up there. If you run a 70 tank on this, you run the standard rear fender latch through the slotted area and the regular honda fender will fit on this frame with the 70 tank. I have pics of a honda 70 tank mounted on my Nichoslon frame which is just like this. I've been looking for a standard Nicholson frame now. I bought an early bandito frame, not realizing that it was not a Nicholson frame and just figured all that out. Doh! LOL Too many midnight shifts and not paying close enough attention. Now get an atc70 tank on this frame like it should be. LOL

This frame has some history behind it , I bought it from Tommy Gaian when he first started selling off some of his goodies .
I noticed first off it was longer than the normal aftermarket frame about 4 1/2" longer than a stock frame were most aftermarket frames are only +2 " over stock .
Their are about a half dozen other parts on this bike that also came from Tommy just to keep things together !!!
The 110 tank fits fine but I will check it out with a 70 tank .
Thanks for the heads up Pat .

Here are the pics of my Nicholson 90/110 frame like yours. See that bolt where the back of the 70 tank attaches to as well as the litte attachment for the 90 fenders. Also you can see how the 70 tank looks on the frame. All of the frames I've seen that take the 70 tanks have all been chromoly. I don't know if the standard frames are mild steel or not? I was also wondering if the 73/74 atc tank would work on these frames? The main credit for this discovery goes to mymint87 during on of our many phone calls. I sure wish we could get Nick Nicholson on here to ask him a ton of questions and get his ideas and viewpoints on all this.

That thing is sweet shortline! I really want something like that. I've had my 110 since the 80's and love it. IT's due for a rebuild, still can't decide what I am going to do to it. It's a survivor.
That thing would do good at icefest :D

Need to see if (250sx) Jeffs frame is the same as yours Pat I sold him the last Nick 110 frame I had .
I know my tank pins are in a different location but that might be because this frame is extra looooong !

Mike I see in your list of owned trikes that you still have it. One thing I notice with parts available is that you never see any klt aftermarket parts for sale, cams, cranks, big bore piston just to name a few. Did Kawasaki not offer these mods for their trikes or is it that they just are not that available like the Honda’s?

shortline10

Powroll supplied all the internal parts , stroker crank , camshaft and high compression piston . I don’t believe the other manufacturers back then offered much . BAPP did offer the front Suspention kit .

I don't know how I missed this original post but I'm happy it got resurrected just so I got to discover that KLT even existed. That's badass

Mike, I would love it if you did a thread of pics of all these builds you've done. You're always posting up something I haven't seen before.
