will a 1985 tri-moto carb fit on a yamaha 1982 tri-moto?

The first year for the Tri-moto 200 was 83. At least here in the states.

The 200 was made in 1983-1985. In '83 they used a different style carb. which has a clamp on mount. In '84 and later they used a flange mounted carb (mounts using 2 - 6mm threaded studs). The later style carb. can be used on the earlier trike but you have to use that syle intake as well.

well on the front of my trimoto its says its an 1982 it got the hose clamp for the carb too . so will this carb fit ?? i need a yes or no so i can by it befor its gone

The later style carb. can be used on the earlier trike but you have to use that syle intake as well.

If you do not buy the intake as well then NO it will not fit.

1982 is the date of manufacturing. They started to assemble the 1983 model in 1982, and then they had to be packed in boat to be delivered in America. LIke the others stated, you have a 1983 YTM-200.
