    sounds like maybe clutch and the one way bearing might be bad

    I doubt that's yopur transmission, being an auto clutch it will tend to slip when push starting If your clutches aren't set up in the right way.

    Thanks for the advice. I'll have to pop the cover off and see, although I don't know what I'm looking for. How about the shifter hanging up and not going into gear? Goes into first sometimes but will not go into any other and hangs up.
