This is the 3rd they have done. First was Honda 250R vs 450R, then they did Yamaha Blaster vs Raptor 250, and now this one. I think they get pretty good response and I'm sure the articles sell magazines, so I bet we see more in the future.

I guess I should scan in the Blaster vs Raptor 250

Id like to see a two stroke in a modern chassis vs the 450's, like the GasGas from a few years back, at nearly a 50% displacement advantage a 20+ year old smoker nearly kept up with new technology, looks like all new technology really needs is a two stroke...

I'd like to see all 3 fully modded out with supension and engine packages and go head to head in the woods, mx, and TT. I dont care what brand it really don't matter to me, I shocked by 3 second lap times on suzukis. 250R,Fourtrax250R,and 450R that would be a good read. The weight of the trike against the hp of the 450 , who got the real advantage.

Thanks for that read, I dropped my issues from DW after 12yrs....I believe the mag itself became dull and non entertaining and too full of advertisement. The articals became redundent and overlapped with no real foucus on past to present. Plus nothing on Racing Teams, individuals, the $ or lack there of in the sport. What about hard hitting questions to MFG's like TrinityRacing, Duncan, Curtis Sparks...Hey what do you pay you riders? How come you take from a sport you don't give back to? Where do you fit into the progression of the Sport to make it better? Giving discounts of 10-20% and free for PRO riders doesn't do it for me on the giving back either.

I agree w/sugarhead on the price of the machines now. 14K for a side by side, 10K for a mud muchine is just stupid but someone will pay it. I knew when I bought my Raptor and Vinson they were the last new bikes I ever was going to buy and they were 5 and 6K back then, now a Raptor goes for what 81/2. I'll keep what I got and enjoy the history, but I'd drop 5 bucks for a copy of that shootout with R, Fourtrax250R, and 450R though, it would be a great read. I wonder if they could find a test rider man enough to ride the R ?
