Im currently in the middle of fabrication and a complete ground up restore of the bike deemed ( CRUSHER) working on fitting a swinger and complete rear from a 2005 trx 450r it should be done in less than a week
Ill run it with the swinger and rear for this years ice racing season... Then time for the total frame off i have most of the parts collected jusn waiting for racing to be over
complete trx 450 r swinger and rear +4 inches
9in wheels on back with dunlops like pictured above
and the 10in wheel on the front with a 22x8x10 front max
frame powdercoated back to origional red
cherry tank with year correct decacls
new seat and pan
new plastic
Fresh motor with FLOWTEK porting motor powdercoated red
34mm PJ with trx thumb throttle
V Force 3 reeds
Aftermarket exaust (still undecided on brand)
trx 450r front brake master....

Did you find another model seat or make one? I cannot seem to find any decent seat pans for a first gen 250r.

Also, are you using the 450r rear shock and removing the airbox, turning the shock backwards, or what? Didn't look like it'd fit with the piggy-back reservoir.

I'm hopefully going to have a 450r swingarm/rear end set up, 2001 raptor 660 shock or 85/86 atc/trx 250r shock. Still some other things to address. But will (hopefully) have my CR480 engine in it.

Turning into an expensive toy. Currently stripped down. All new bearings and seals in engine. New bears and parts in swing arm and carrier, cleaned and repaired gas tank. Douglas rims on back. When i'm done i'll put a new pic up for a 'before and after.'

hello guys,

picked up my first 82 back in june and my second just the other day. the first is pretty much done n is ridden. the second will be done soon.

when i got this one, all tires were trashed so i threw a set of flat track tires n hubs from my 70 n an old balloon tire for the front so it'd roll while i cleaned the carb. it ran when i bought it (for $200 :-) )







plastics were trashed and so was seat so i sourced a set from a guy locally. plastics are fine aside from stickers, but old glory got sacrificed to make a seat cover, patriotic and not-so-patriotic all at once :-/





a set of bushwacker 22x11x8s were tested, not so happy with the results





now its gotten a smaller front tire n smaller knobbies n thats probably how its going to stay





heres a few pics of the one i got just the other day ( for $150 :-)!! )

has a 300 kit and stock exhaust. will be looking for aftermarket exhaust.

All nice looking R's ya'll have there.Heres mine,I bought it just like it is.Only thing Ive done to it is get it running with new top end.Im told thats a bassani pipe and silencer,DG head and intake,Mikuni carb,200x front end.
